Pecan Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

I found at our local store three kinds of nut butters one can get fresh - peanut, almond and pecan (Yum).  I love nuts mixed into my cookies.  What a great way to add flavor in a cookie not mention make it like a shortbread.

Cream:
1 stick of soften butter
3/4 cup pecan butter, fresh ground
1 jumbo egg
1/2 cup raw sugar
1/2 cup packed light brown sugar

add and mix well
1 tsp real vanilla
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp flaky sea salt

slowly add:
1 1/2 cups sifted whole white wheat flour (may need 1/4 more depending on the constinency of the mix)

lastly add 1 cup dark chocolate chips (can use carob chips)

spoon by the tablespoon on a greased bake at 325 F (300 F convection oven) till golden brown.  Place on wire rack to cool.

Tastes good with iced coffee.. enjoy!!
